Eaglehawk Dental is a Mercury free practice. However, most of our patients have mercury fillings from previous dental work. Most of the mercury fillings are dark and give the tooth an unaesthetic appearance. It is a known fact that silver/mercury fillings weaken the tooth structure by unavoidable design features. A good alternate option to silver/mercury fillings are direct bonded restorations (fillings), Porcelain inlays/onlays create fillings which are unnoticeable and add strength to a weakened tooth.
